Hey Lemon8 fam! I'm so excited to dive deeper into the world of my Cyberpunk OCs with you all today. Creating original characters for the gritty, neon-drenched future of Cyberpunk is one of my absolute favorite things to do. It’s all about blending cutting-edge tech with unique personal styles, and really bringing these characters to life with their own stories and struggles. First up, let's talk about I-V, my amazing Ripper Doc. She’s 23 and, as you can see from her illustrations, she means business! I-V is incredibly focused and professional, a true master of her craft in a world where body modifications are everything. Her design is all about functionality meets understated cool. You'll notice her signature white lab coat, which she often wears over a sharp light blue vest and dark pants – a practical yet stylish uniform for someone who spends her days performing intricate cybernetic surgeries. Those cybernetic facial implants aren't just for show either; they're integral to her work, enhancing her precision and analytical capabilities. Her background is a blend of Japanese and American influences, which I tried to subtly weave into her overall aesthetic and backstory, giving her a truly unique perspective in Night City. Then there's Lola, my vibrant 22-year-old Doctor, who brings a completely different energy to the table. Lola is the kind of person who lights up a room, even in the darkest corners of the future. Her style is a fantastic mix of cultural influences, clearly seen in her curly brown hair often adorned with a headscarf. She pairs a chic black crop top with a striking green plaid sarong, accessorizing with beautiful gold jewelry that speaks to her heritage. Lola's roots are a proud blend of Jamaican and Cuban flags, and I imagine her bringing a warmth and resilience that's much needed. While she's a doctor, she probably deals with a different kind of patient than I-V, perhaps focusing more on organic health or even underground medicine, showing a different facet of medical care in the Cyberpunk universe. I particularly love the dynamic between I-V and Lola, as hinted in some of my sketches. I-V, always intense and absorbed in her work, and Lola, approaching with a lighthearted offer of coffee – it really shows their contrasting personalities and how they balance each other out in this chaotic world. Bringing these two unique female cyberpunk OCs to life has been a journey of exploring different aesthetics, from I-V’s sleek, almost clinical look to Lola’s vibrant, expressive fashion. Every detail, from I-V’s cybernetic implants to Lola’s gold jewelry, tells a part of their story and how they navigate their lives. When creating Cyberpunk OCs, I always think about what makes them truly unique and how they would function in this rich world, similar to how characters in Cyberpunk 2077 are designed. What kind of augmentations would they prioritize? What fashion choices reflect their personality and background? Would they wear a utilitarian lab coat, or a flowing sarong?
