In my personal experience, the phrase "El dinero daña a la gente" (Money harms people) reflects just one side of a complex reality. While it's true that wealth can sometimes lead to negative behaviors like greed, arrogance, or strained relationships, I’ve found that money itself is a tool, and its impact largely depends on how people use it. For example, money has allowed me to pursue hobbies, support loved ones, and gain independence—all of which contribute to happiness rather than harm. However, mindfulness about spending and values is key. I've seen people become careless or lose sight of what truly matters when chasing money blindly, which can be harmful psychologically and socially. Interestingly, the phrase "Que me dañe!!!" shows a bold and almost rebellious attitude towards the idea of money causing damage. It suggests a willingness to accept any negative consequences if the benefits or personal freedom money can provide outweigh the downsides. In essence, money’s influence is shaped by mindset and choices. It’s important to critically evaluate our relationship with money and aim for balance—using it to enrich life without becoming controlled by it. This perspective helps me see money not as inherently damaging, but as a powerful tool that requires responsibility and self-awareness.
