In listening to this song I get so fixated on the word ‘satisfied’.
We have all done things that hurt ourselves or others. This grieves the heart of our perfect and loving God. It puts us in debt to Him - and it’s a debt we have no way of paying ourselves. He loves us too much to let it end there, though! He provided His own perfect, Holy, spotless Son to die for us and pay our debt. Through Jesus’ death, our debt is satisfied completely. Satisfied means fully pleased or fulfilled. We don’t have to spend our whole lives bending over backwards trying to be perfect or earn brownie points with Him. Jesus’ death and resurrection give us a completely new identity - that of a child of God! One who doesn’t have to work to earn His love or right standing.
Friend, if you are reading this and you are feeling the weight of trying to do it all on your own, please know you can rest! If you have given your life to Christ, accepted His payment for your sin - you can rest in your identity as a justified child of God! Your soul is purchased by His blood, and you are His. He loves you so much that He endured torture, beatings and murder to ensure that you didn’t have to live this life or the next one separated from Him. Not only did he die for us, He rose again for us! The Bible says that He is in heaven interceding for us - praying on our behalf! It is an incredible encouragement to know that He is praying for me, He knows my needs and He desires to meet them!
I hope you can celebrate this Easter with peace in your heart, knowing that while God wants our obedience, He doesn’t want us to struggle on our own. He is the one who equips us and strengthens us. We can rest in the peace of knowing Him as our Helper❤️ He is the One who strengthens us for every good work, nothing is too big or small for Him to care about, and that, to me, is Good News❤️

In your journey of faith, remember the importance of community and prayer, especially during the Easter season, reflecting on the hope that stems from knowing we are never alone in our struggles.
