Real softball tags
These are made with recycled softballs for our end of this season banquet for our girls
As a softball coach, I’ve always loved finding creative ways to celebrate the team’s hard work at the end of each season. One idea that truly stood out this year was making personalized softball tags from recycled softballs. Not only did this approach bring a unique and meaningful touch to our banquet, but it also supported sustainability by giving old equipment a second life. The process involves carefully cutting and shaping softballs that have seen better days, then decorating them with each player's name — like MYA, NEAUAN, LYLA, PAIGE, MC, and ESME — to create custom tags. These can be used as keychains, bag tags, or even ornaments. It was heartwarming to see the girls’ reactions when they received their names on these one-of-a-kind keepsakes. What I appreciated most was how this project brought the team together. Some players helped with sanding and decorating the tags, which fostered teamwork and pride. Additionally, using recycled materials sparked conversations about environmental responsibility, adding another layer of value. If you’re thinking about ways to honor your softball team, I highly recommend crafting personalized tags from recycled softballs. It’s an eco-friendly, heartfelt gesture that your players will cherish long after the season ends.
