2026 Nails…so far 😏
this is your sign to romanticize your nail appointments 💅✨
here are all the sets i’ve had this year and i swear… each one matched a different version of me
soft girl
busy girl
slightly unhinged but thriving girl 😂
but also… let’s talk about the reality behind these sets for a second 👀
my nails from december–february were my REAL nails… done at a salon
and they were constantly chipping, breaking, and just not holding up at all. i was paying 80-120 dollars for them to last a week and a half 😭 and then would walk around with janky/broken nails 🤮
like no matter what i did… something was always wrong 🙃
fast forward to my last 2 sets—i switched to an independent nail tech and the difference is INSANE
not only are her prices way more reasonable (like actually make sense??)
but she actually cares about nail health
because a lot of bigger salons are focused on getting you in and out… and getting paid
they’ll use whatever products, rush the process, and not really think about what your nails actually need
and that’s exactly what was happening to me
my new nail girl took the time to explain the products she uses, how they’re made, and how they would affect my nails specifically
and ever since switching… no chipping, no breaking, nothing
just healthy nails that actually last AND look good 🫶
my first set in March lasted 3 weeks. and I would have kept them on but my nails had literally grown so much (because of improved nail health)
so yeah… nails really do change EVERYTHING—but who does them matters just as much
support your local nail techs 👀✨
