Impact of being outdoors
Listen, I am an inside girly til death... Unless it's for a short burst, or all conditions are met: Not too cold, not too hot, not raining, not humid. Can you tell I am hard to please? This is why you'll find me glamping in a yurt instead of tent camping ;)
Even though being outside is a sensory nightmare for me some days, I still make an effort to step out for short bursts of time. And honestly? Every time I think that I am going to hate it, I end up having such an improvement in both mood and productivity.
What's your favorite outdoor activity? I'm a fan of a short hike or day by the beach.

Spending time outdoors is not only refreshing but can significantly improve mental well-being. Research shows that nature exposure can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression levels. Outdoor activities like hiking, walking, or simply soaking in the sun can stimulate feelings of happiness and relaxation. Being in nature helps to lower cortisol levels, which are associated with stress. Moreover, even brief time spent outdoors can lead to mental clarity and improved focus throughout the day. This connection to nature fosters a sense of belonging and connection, crucial elements in mental health. Engaging in outdoor activities also promotes physical movement, integral to overall well-being. Consider setting daily goals for outdoor time, whether it’s a walk in the park or a hike in nearby trails. This practice not only nurtures your body but also invigorates your mind. Share your favorite outdoor activities and inspire others to relish the mental health benefits that come from embracing the great outdoors.
