Sugary drinks that kept the dopamine flowing

As an ADHDer, I have a tendency to seek dopamine in the form of sugary treats and drinks 😬

At home, I’m a water and coffee only girly… but vacation is a totally different story. I feel like I was stopping every few minutes to get a new drink because “it’s pretty.”

It didn’t help that they were all holiday and universal studios themed- that kind of stuff pulls at my autistic special interest heart strings ❤️

These drinks not only taste great but also provide a delightful sensory experience. Popular choices during vacations often include vibrant, themed drinks that are visually appealing. For example, drinks like 'Grinch Lemonade' offer a unique sour-sweet combination that tantalizes the taste buds, while festive concoctions like 'Butterbeer' connect to beloved culture references such as Harry Potter. Understanding the reasons behind these cravings, whether for sensory pleasure or a boost of happiness, can help individuals make more mindful choices. Additionally, engaging with communities that share similar interests in food and experiences can foster connection and support for those seeking that dopamine rush through enjoyable treats.
