My fav hike in the ADKs

My favorite hike in the Adirondacks has to be Rocky Mountain. I’ve done this hike more times than I can count, and it never gets old. It’s an easy trail with one of the most breathtaking views at the top—a reward for the climb. Being in my hometown, it’s also a reminder of how lucky I am to call this beautiful place home.

I grew up hiking, and Rocky Mountain has always been a summer must-do. I have so many memories tied to this trail—running up it for soccer practice, family outings, and even insisting on wearing dresses on hikes as a little girl. Looking back, I probably wasn’t dressed for the occasion, but I was determined to combine my love of hiking with my favorite outfits!

This trail holds so much nostalgia for me, and it’s one I recommend to anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just starting out, Rocky Mountain is a hike that’s sure to leave you smiling.
