TIME IS FLYING BY
#onthisday now our oldest is going to high school 🥹 WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?????
Watching my oldest child reach the milestone of starting high school made me truly appreciate the saying, "the days are long, but the years are short." It’s a common feeling among parents and caregivers to be caught off guard by how quickly children grow up, even though each individual day might feel slow or busy. I remember my mornings rushing to get ready and evenings filled with homework battles, but the bigger picture was that in what felt like no time, my child was ready for the next big step. This experience is not just about the child but also about our personal growth as parents. We adapt, learn patience, celebrate independence, and sometimes feel nostalgia for the simpler days. On this special "On This Day" moment, August 6, 2022, when my child walked through those high school doors for the first time, I paused to reflect and snapped a few photos to hold on to that feeling. If you’re going through something similar, my advice is to stay present. Cherish the small moments because while time flies, these memories last forever. Connecting with other parents who share this milestone can also be incredibly supportive and reassuring. Remember, each phase has its own beauty and challenges, but it all moves faster than we expect. Embrace it wholeheartedly, capture the moments, and look forward to the exciting journey ahead for your teenager.
