Manifestation and Getting Started 🌿

How to Manifest + Getting Started, Part 1

When I started my self-help, development, and spiritual journey, whatever you may define it as. I was clueless about what resources would work best for me, and where to find those. What may work for half of the human population might not be effective for me. I used to be an over-thinker. I view overthinking as the death of happiness, and I pride myself now in differentiating the thoughts that matter and focusing more on how something may make me feel. A few years ago, I was not living to my heart’s desire, the world became crippling. Looking back it consumed me, amongst other things. When I began to start living with purpose and mindfulness, I understood how to cope and prioritize my ideas, and my dreams, and started to integrate the lifestyle I now call mine.

I know that manifesting isn’t for all, and that’s okay. But for those who don’t know where to start, or need some inspiration I hope that this information and my experience may help with that. 💜

🟣 Reflection, organizing, and understanding your goals and motivations in life, is step one. This is something I am still trying to figure out, to be honest, so don’t expect to know or have your entire life planned out with this. Manifesting is a process. The main reason reflection is so important is that you can allow yourself to be grateful for your experiences and know that there is more out there waiting. In a sense, it’s kind of like being your hype person💪🏻. Make sure not to dwell on the past as you are moving through the reflective part of this process, it is meant to reassure and give yourself the clarity you want out of life. Through my reflection, I learned to appreciate progress and live more in the present. I also achieved this with therapy, shadow work, art, journaling, yoga, and meditation. There are many other ways you can achieve this as well.

💟 Getting a clear perspective, sitting down with yourself, and being honest about what you genuinely want are very important aspects. Living in a world of instant gratification, a fast-paced lifestyle, and getting caught up with what everyone else is doing can be easy. Slow living has been one of the biggest “prerequisites” before learning more about manifestation and self-discovery.

I very easily got caught up in what the world showed me life was and societal norms, until choosing to change my perspective. Although someone else that is my age may have the same goals as I do and has achieved them already, doesn’t set you back. Your path is your path, and you deserve to claim it and make it what you want. It does not mean you need to hustle and do everything all at once, and then not remember your intentions, or not have the time to appreciate what happens along the way. That cycle can be hard to break, remember to trust your gut.

Remaining true to myself after many years of struggling with my mental health and grieving over what had passed me by, and through comparison with others eventually helped me understand the woman I am growing and becoming today, the AUTHENTIC ME, and OMG girl it feels so good.

I took up reading again in my adult life, (I was the biggest bookworm, until middle school, and then I lacked interest) after years of not having the attention span or patience to read. In doing so has created a great foundation for me going into this new part of my life. Some questions I asked myself when beginning.

🙋🏼‍♀️ Here are some examples:

What do I want out of this life?

Who do I want to be known as?

What does my dream life look like?

Who do I want to be, and what specific qualities relate to who I want to be?

🦄 Make a visual, draw it out, a mind map, or a “life” vision board with these questions in mind. Whatever medium allows you to visualize and gather what is important to you.

When you can become clear about your goals, hone in on one specific goal. Once you’ve identified your #1 goal or your soul purpose you can begin to create a hierarchy and prioritize what goes into achieving it, and most importantly the actions that will get you there.

🪻With all that, it always feels impossible to maintain your daily responsibilities, network, find time for friends, stay in touch with family, etc, and find time for your craft, your purpose, hobbies, or dreams. I know planning isn’t for everyone, or using a planner, but when I started to implement planning into my life I was able to find more balance. With my planner, I put down my everyday responsibilities, work, chores, and anything I need to be doing or am consistently doing daily. This helps me to achieve my needs, and find time for pursuing my ultimate goal, and dream.

Once you’re able to implement a system of organizing and prioritizing what goes on in your life, find time outside of your schedule to work on your goal.

You have the details ✅

you’ve honed in on what you want ✅

and you are organized, now you need to find time, and action to focus on your one goal ✅

Focusing on one goal, rather than 10 allows you to be the expert of yourself. You get to delve into who you want to become, maybe this goal is your missing piece, something you’ve been seeking, the missing piece to you achieving oneness. This is where you can start action, and work towards it.

When I was able to plan my daily life out more, it allowed me to detach from aimless activities like scrolling on TikTok for hours or worrying myself into an overwhelmed state. I’m not saying you have to micro-manage your life but understand what your essential or “maintenance” responsibilities and needs are. Without distractions and meaningless time wasted, I was able to prioritize more often and look forward to the time I had with my goal. I was still giving back to myself and making progress towards something meaningful to me.

Think of your goal as cooking or the stovetop on your oven. Most ovens have 4 burners, so view your daily maintenance responsibilities, and your #1 goal on the front 2 burners closest to you. The two burners in the back, are normally called the “back burners” Your remaining goals that still mean a lot to you and resonate with your main goal go on the back burners, but they may not be pertinent at this present moment. They will fall in line as you consistently pursue your #1.

In part 2, I’ll talk more about energy, focus, attention, and consistency. Along with other tips from my personal experiences that helped me!

**This information is based on a book I recommend, “Focused Manifesting II Laws of Manifestation to Master Your Mind and Attention” by Ryuu Shinohara. It’s a great read, and the author does a great job of keeping you engaged!! It also comes with freebie worksheets (I’ll talk more about that in Part 2) to help visualize the beginning of your outcome.

... Read moreMy journey into manifestation, much like many of yours I imagine, started with a mix of excitement and a little overwhelm. When I first heard about “manifesting,” I pictured magic wands and instant results, but soon realized it's a deeply personal and practical practice. If you're wondering how to start manifestation practice as a beginner, or how to truly make it work for you, let me share a bit more from my experience beyond just the initial steps. One of the most powerful things I learned early on, building on the idea of reflection, is the art of active self-discovery. It’s not just about thinking, but about dedicated time to communicate with yourself. I found immense value in daily journaling sessions, not just to list what I wanted, but to explore the “why” behind those desires. What emotions did I associate with achieving those goals? What core belief was driving them? This kind of journaling, where you genuinely communicate with yourself, helps define your goals with incredible clarity. I also started reading self-development books with a new lens, looking for exercises and insights that resonated with my personal path, rather than just absorbing information passively. Then comes the magic of visual and mind manifesting. The article briefly mentions vision boards and mind maps, but I want to emphasize how to make these truly *potent*. It’s not enough to just cut out pretty pictures. When I created my vision board, I didn't just put up images; I spent time feeling what it would be like to live those images. If I wanted a peaceful home, I’d imagine the scent of fresh flowers, the sound of quiet, the feeling of soft blankets. For mind manifesting, I'd dedicate 10-15 minutes daily to close my eyes and simply live in that future reality, engaging all my senses. This process of creating detailed mental images, almost like a vivid movie in my mind, truly helped align my subconscious with my conscious desires. It connected me to the “manifest sky,” feeling like possibilities were truly boundless. The stove-top analogy for prioritizing goals is brilliant, and something I actively use. My “ultimate goal” isn't a vague dream; it's broken down into smaller, manageable chunks. I learned that for true self manifestation, consistent action is key. For example, if my ultimate goal was to launch a creative project, my “daily maintenance” might include responding to emails, but my front-burner “ultimate goal” action would be dedicating an hour to writing or designing. The crucial part was ensuring that even my “back burner goals” – like learning a new skill for future use – were still aligned with my overall vision, just waiting for their moment to move to the front. This structured approach, combined with my daily visualization, made my manifestation practice feel grounded and achievable. Finally, for anyone looking for “manifest readings” or resources, remember that learning is an ongoing process. Beyond the recommended book, I found clarity in listening to podcasts from various spiritual teachers, reading blogs about personal growth, and even connecting with like-minded individuals in online communities. The “universal manifestation” principle, for me, boiled down to understanding that while the universe is abundant, my personal alignment and consistent effort are what open the doors. It’s about finding the “readings” or methods that speak to your soul and adapting them to your unique journey, ensuring you're continually feeding your mind with positive and empowering information. Never stop exploring what resonates with your personal growth.
