A bigender artist’s history with social media..

#gettoknowme I don’t have the best luck with social media.. I barely got any attention, very few people supported my art, and I just felt ver unaccomplished. The highest audience I ever got was when I was on TikTok, and that app is getting banned in America soon! :D (Oh sweet irony) BUT, I still have people in my life who believe in me and make me wanna keep going. I really love what I do, and I want to keep sharing the stuff I make to the world and hopefully it can become something bigger. Therefore, I’m going to give Lemon8 a try and see what happens! So get ready y’all, cuz I’m about to kick some tail!

For many artists, platforms like TikTok and Instagram offer exposure and community, but they also present challenges such as algorithm changes and competition for attention. For bigender artists, visibility can be even more complex due to societal perceptions and biases. Despite these hurdles, maintaining authenticity and building a supportive network is essential. Artists who share their stories, struggles, and triumphs can create deeper connections with their audience, fostering a sense of belonging. Engaging with niche communities on Lemon8, for example, allows for sharing unique perspectives and gaining recognition without the overwhelming nature of mainstream platforms. Furthermore, as social media platforms continue to evolve, artists must adapt their strategies. For instance, the potential ban of TikTok raises questions about where to find new audiences. Exploring alternative platforms or diversifying content can help ensure ongoing engagement. Artists should focus on creating high-quality content that resonates with their audience, whether through traditional methods or innovative formats. Success in the art world is not solely measured by numbers but by the impact and connection created with others. By embracing the creative journey and learning to navigate the digital landscape, bigender artists can thrive, paving the way for greater acceptance and representation of diverse voices in art.
