... Read moreIt’s always so satisfying to finally finish a fragrance! There’s something special about looking at your empties and reflecting on the scents that have been a part of your daily life. I wanted to dive a little deeper into some of the fragrances I’ve recently used up, especially since I've gotten so many questions about them!
First up, let’s talk about my beloved Acqua di Gioia. The iconic bottle with its distinctive green cap is instantly recognizable, and for good reason! This fragrance is a burst of fresh, clean energy. For me, it truly captures the essence of a vibrant, natural escape. The fragrance notes are a beautiful blend: I really pick up on the crisp bergamot and a hint of red fruits at the top, which then settles into a heart of delicate jasmine and soft rose. The base of cedarwood gives it a lovely grounded finish. It’s incredibly versatile, perfect for daytime, and always makes me feel refreshed. While I can't speak to exact prices or campaigns in specific regions like the Philippines, I’ve found that Acqua di Gioia is generally a well-loved and widely available scent globally, often featuring in beautiful, nature-inspired campaigns that perfectly match its aquatic, joyful vibe. It’s definitely a repurchase for me!
Next, the wonderfully bold Daisy Wild Perfume. This one was such an adventure in a bottle! The standout note for me was definitely the unique banana blossom accord. It’s not something you encounter every day, and it adds such an intriguing, creamy sweetness that’s entirely different from typical fruity florals. Paired with bright jasmine and an earthy vetiver base, it creates a scent that feels both playful and sophisticated. It really lives up to its "wild" name, in the best possible way!
And then there's Chanel Chance – the sweet, feminine charm in a bottle. My bottle had a lovely pink hue, and it truly is such a classic. It’s a beautiful mix of rose, citrus, and fruity notes, all wrapped in a soft musky, floral embrace. I found it to be a perfect everyday scent when I wanted something undeniably pretty and elegant. It has a lovely projection without being overpowering.
Of course, I can't forget my gourmand obsession, Choco Musk. Oh my goodness, if you love smelling like a delicious dessert, this is it! It literally smells like vanilla chocolate cookies. The vanilla and chocolate notes are so prominent and utterly delectable, with a hint of warm spice that makes it cozy and comforting. It’s perfect for colder days or when you just want a sweet treat for your senses.
Finally, a quick shoutout to Valentino Green Stravaganza. This one was a delightful surprise with its beautiful blend of white floral, vanilla, powdery, and sweet accords. It has such an elegant, sophisticated feel, and I couldn't get enough of it.
Finishing a fragrance bottle always makes me a little sad, but it also means I get to explore new scents or happily repurchase an old favorite. I hope my deeper dive into these empties helps you on your own fragrance journey!
The green Chanel one has me in a chokehold as well! I haven’t smelled the pink one yet! I will give it a try!!
