For me, losing 25 lbs on GLP-1 has been a complete shift, not just in my body, but in my entire relationship with food and my well-being. The 'Before': A Cycle of Frustration Before GLP-1, my 'before' picture wasn't just about my physical appearance; it was about how I felt internally. I often found myself stuck in a cycle of craving unhealthy foods, overeating, and then feeling guilty. Despite attempts at various diets, sustained weight loss felt impossible. Energy levels were low, and I often felt sluggish, which impacted my mood and motivation. My eating habits were inconsistent, often skipping meals or relying on quick, processed options that left me feeling unsatisfied and craving more. It was a constant battle against hunger cues and a lack of satiety, leaving me feeling defeated. The 'After': A New Relationship with Food and My Body Since starting GLP-1 and losing 25 lbs, my 'after' is a world away from that frustrating cycle. The most significant change has been the profound impact on my appetite and satiety. I no longer feel constantly hungry or obsessed with food. This newfound control has allowed me to make more mindful choices and truly enjoy what I eat without guilt. My energy levels have soared, and I feel more confident and active. Getting dressed is no longer a chore, and I love seeing how my clothes fit differently. It’s not just about the weight loss; it’s about feeling vibrant and healthy. My Journey and Daily Choices: My daily routine, which now includes meals like the ones I shared (starting with a protein yogurt, incorporating a protein shake, and enjoying meals with Realgood chicken nuggets and even some mashed potatoes), is all about balance and listening to my body. I’ve learned to prioritize protein and fiber, which helps me stay full and nourished. For instance, a protein-packed start to my day with protein yogurt or a shake keeps cravings at bay. Snack options like a built puff bar or a simple cheese stick are great for satisfying smaller hunger pangs without overdoing it. I also focus heavily on hydration, making sure I'm drinking plenty of water, and sometimes opting for a refreshing Celsius for a pick-me-up. I’ve also found ways to incorporate foods I enjoy, but in healthier portions or prepared differently. For example, a tuna packet with a few saltine crackers makes for a quick and satisfying lunch, and even a small side of mashed potatoes with my chicken nuggets can fit into my plan. It's about making sustainable choices rather than strict restrictions. This flexibility is key to long-term success. Beyond the Scale: Non-Scale Victories The 'before and after' isn't just about the numbers on the scale. It’s about the non-scale victories too. I can walk further without getting winded, my sleep quality has improved dramatically, and my mood is consistently more positive. I’m no longer just existing; I’m thriving. This GLP-1 journey has truly been life-changing, and I'm excited to continue embracing healthier habits and seeing where it takes me next.
