i usually don’t like going to salons to get my hair done because i always leave with hair that smelled like chemicals + dry hair, but recently i went to Hint Salon to get my hair done and i was definitely impressed with their service 😀👍
my previous hair colour had faded quite a bit and left my hair being this warm tone brown which i’m not a big fan of, and after consulting with my hair stylist Loon, he told me to try a cool tone dark brown which is more suitable for me - it’ll look black indoors, but under sunlight it’ll look lighter
before the session started, they also offered me tea with a few flavours to choose from, i chose the pear flavoured one which was AMAZING. during the whole session, Loon explained all the produced he was using in my hair and applied the hair dye meticulously & gently as well 😆 unlike some other salons which i’ve been to, they just apply the hair dye in manner which made it splatter everywhere (including my face lol) 😅
after the hair dye, he also did a quick moisturising treatment to make sure my hair isn’t dry after the session, and it was sooo comfortable
after the entire session, my hair felt so soft and smelled so good (no chemical smells) and now after a week, my hair still looks great and despite it being a dark colour, it didn’t stain any of my bedsheets or clothing items 🤩🤩🤩
they are currently having a promo of $199 for cut + colour, you should definitely give it a shot if you’re looking for a hair refresh 💛
... Read moreIf you're looking to switch up your hair style or colour, I totally get the hesitation based on past experiences with salons that leave hair dry or smelling like chemicals. At Hint Salon, I learned that the product choices and application methods really make a difference. For example, their attentive stylist took the time to explain each product used, and applied the dye carefully to avoid irritation or mess. This attention to detail also includes a moisturizing treatment right after the dyeing to keep hair healthy and feeling soft.
One thing many may overlook is the ambience and little extras — I was offered a choice of tea flavours before we started, and the pear tea was honestly a nice touch that made the whole experience feel more comforting and less clinical. After a week, my hair still feels nourished and looks great, plus the dark cool tone is surprisingly versatile for both indoor and outdoor light.
For those concerned about pricing and services, Hint Salon currently has a promo of $199 for both cut and colour, which I think is a good value considering the quality of service and finish. Their location in CBD is also convenient for those working or living nearby.
In short, if you're searching for a reliable hair salon in the CBD area that prioritizes hair health along with style, Hint Salon is worth checking out. Their gentle care approach ensured I left with hair that looked refreshed and felt soft, without the usual downsides like chemical smells or dryness. It's definitely a positive change from the typical salon experience I used to dread.
