Hey everyone! We often talk about the benefits of sleeping early, but have you ever considered the aesthetic of it? For me, it's not just about waking up refreshed; it’s about creating a peaceful, intentional evening ritual that sets the tone for a truly restorative night. I used to be a night owl, constantly feeling groggy and uninspired, but embracing an early bedtime has genuinely transformed my life. First, let's dive into those wonderful benefits beyond just 'feeling better.' Since I started prioritizing sleep, my skin has cleared up significantly, my mood swings are less frequent, and my focus at work has sharpened. I've also noticed a boost in my creativity and problem-solving skills – it’s like my brain gets a complete reset every night. Plus, having those extra quiet morning hours before the world wakes up is pure bliss for personal reflection or getting a head start on tasks. Now, how to cultivate that coveted 'sleeping early aesthetic'? It starts with your environment. My bedroom has become my sanctuary. I’ve incorporated elements like a dimly lit bedroom setup using warm-toned lamps and even some battery-operated fairy lights draped around my headboard. I sometimes light a calming, unscented candle (always safely, of course!) or use an essential oil diffuser with lavender. Adding small plants on my bedside table brings a natural, serene touch, and investing in soft, high-quality bedding makes crawling into bed feel like a luxury. The goal is to create a cozy, nighttime ambiance that signals to your body it’s time to wind down. My personal night routine usually kicks off around 9 PM. I start by switching off bright overhead lights and relying on lamps. I make myself a cup of herbal tea – chamomile or passionflower are my favorites – and put away my phone at least an hour before bed. Instead of endless scrolling, I'll read a physical book, journal about my day, or do some gentle stretching. A warm shower or bath is also incredibly relaxing and helps me transition into sleep mode. I also try to ensure my room is tidy before bed; a cluttered space often leads to a cluttered mind for me. By 10 PM, I’m usually in bed, ready to drift off. If you're struggling to shift your sleep schedule, start small. Try moving your bedtime back by just 15 minutes each night until you hit your goal. Consistency is key! I don't really have one. I shut the house down at 10 or so, and put on PJs and stuff. but I only sleep 3 or 4 hours a night as I have wicked bad insomnia!!! since menopause began. 🤬🥴 I deal with it. I study and do homework. I make use of my time so it's ok by me!!
