Meet Hank
This is Hank, and he turns 2 this week! My husband and I weren't necessarily looking for another dog when we stumbled across Hank. I grew up only having pugs as a kid, so the joke was that I needed a pug in my new household. My parents, however, saw a post about a pug that needed a home asap, and that's how we met Hank. His previous owner was not very kind to him, sadly. When we got to her house, she had him in a cage filled with his messes. He was covered in it. She had a huge shock collar on him and said he was supposed to be an emotional support dog but would shock him any time he would get excited about people. (This made him incredibly timid). He would only eat happy meals and a large sweet tea on her off days, which was twice a week, and "refused dog food, treats and water." We were also informed that he couldn't walk on a leash and refused to wear a collar. We knew we had to take him home after that, and we did. We've had Hank for almost a year now, and he is amazing. He definitely eats normal dog food and treats, loves going for walks, and loves people. He's still a little skiddish, but overall, he has improved so much. He loves adventures and loves playing with us. And he just fits our family perfectly. We didn't know we had a Hank sized hole in our hearts until we got him.
