Where do I even begin?! This book was AMAZING. I really enjoyed the cuts to the actual film so we could get to know Dessi Blue along with the Main Characters. Neevah. My hard headed Neevah. She stresssed me out the entire book but our girl was strong willed and hard headed. I loved the intentionality of putting real facts about lupus in the texts for the reader to learn about. Over all I really loved mention of the documentary canon made for his mom and her inspiration. The whole book had so many good insights and perspectives that really made me love the book. If you are looking for spicy there is a healthy amount of it. I also highly recommend listening to the audiobook for the dessi blue parts if you wanna do too much like I did

This is my favorite book of hers. If you want to enhance your reading experience, I highly recommend the audiobook. It’s sooo interactive!
