Today on the flower farm, we fertilized and picked strawberries, pulled weeds in the spring patch, harvested flowers in the high tunnels, saved a butterfly, and watered ✨EVEEVERYTHING✨ Aside from what we harvested in the video we also cut two more sections of snapdragons plus Batchelor buttons, Corncockle, and larkspur outside. But at that point I was not filming anymore😂 Hope everybody has a fabulous weekend!!🧡🧡 ##flowerfarmer##cometoworkwithme##harvesting##farmlife##springflowers

Not only do you get to engage in hands-on agricultural activities such as fertilizing the soil and pulling weeds, but you also enjoy the rewards of harvesting delicate and colorful flowers. Flowers like snapdragons and Corncockle add varied textures and colors to bouquets, making each harvest uniquely special. One of the most memorable parts of a farm day is witnessing the local wildlife; for instance, spotting a black swallowtail butterfly or the vibrant delphinium blooms enriches the connection with nature. These butterflies are not only beautiful but also vital pollinators for the farm's ecosystem. Picking strawberries early in the day ensures they are fresh and ripe, perfect for enjoying at home or sharing with friends. The process of nurturing plants from seedling to harvest is satisfying, particularly when it includes caring for high tunnel flowers that enjoy protection from harsher weather. Additionally, working alongside a community or farm team creates a sense of camaraderie. The routine of watering and maintaining the farm, especially during spring when growth is abundant, helps foster mindfulness and appreciation for the earth’s cycles. Overall, days spent on a flower farm offer more than just physical labor—they provide a peaceful retreat that reconnects you with the roots of food and flower production, reminding us of the beauty and bounty nature has to offer.
