Sugar Cravings? May be more than JUST a Sweet 🦷✨
Since college my gut has always been an issue for me, no matter what I did it never seemed to get better. I struggled with bloating, bad food intolerances, a huge sweet tooth, periods of low energy, indigestion, acne… basically all of the things. 😅
So 3 months ago I started working with a holistic dietitian and she has helped me find the root of my digestive / overall health issues and we have implemented some new “rules” into my life along with some supplements and I have noticed such a difference in only 90 days. ✨
My biggest issue is candida overgrowth - which is a type of yeast overgrowth that is fairly common… and is what has been the main thing causing my sweet tooth. So in order to rebalance the yeast in my body I have had to “starve” the yeast by limiting sugar and I have done my best to do so over the past 3 months. I’ll be working on my other issues as well but this was the main one that I needed to work on first. 💚🫡
➡️ So just a reminder gut health isn’t fixed in a day - it takes time, there are truly no quick fixes. My best advice is to find a dietitian who wants to help you really achieve wellness and not just give you a bunch of pills to take. Be patient and find the ROOT cause of your problem, don’t just try every “hack” you see on the internet - it could make your issues worse! 😵💫
