Bought these as a gym shoe. wore them to the gym once and have since worn them everywhere else.
the nike v2k run era is real and i fully gave in. white, chunky, metallic silver accents, and somehow goes with literally everything in my closet. leggings, wide leg jeans, casual dresses, airport looks. they do not care what you pair them with, they just work.
They run true to size.
what i actually love about them: the chunky heel gives real cushion when you're on your feet all day, the mesh keeps them lightweight and breathable, and the aged cream midsole adds that early 2000s detail that makes them look intentional instead of just "white sneakers."
technically a lifestyle shoe not a performance runner, so your feet won't hate you after hours of walking but i wouldn't race in them. for gym sessions, errands, travel days, and everything in between though, they're perfect.
white/silver is the colorway to start with. goes with neutrals, photographs well, and stays clean longer than you'd expect.
... Read moreWhen I first got my Nike V2K Run Era dad shoes, I expected them to be just another trendy sneaker for casual wear. However, they quickly became my go-to choice not only for workouts but also for daily activities like running errands and traveling. The chunky heel design truly provides substantial cushioning that keeps my feet comfortable even after hours on my feet.
One feature that stands out is the mesh upper, which makes these shoes surprisingly lightweight and breathable—something I appreciate especially during warmer days or longer wear. The aged cream midsole adds a nostalgic early 2000s vibe, distinguishing them from plain white sneakers and making them a stylish statement piece.
I mostly wear mine in the white and metallic silver colorway, which seamlessly pairs with a variety of outfits, including leggings, wide-leg jeans, and casual dresses. I’ve found they photograph well too, which is a bonus for my travel and lifestyle posts. Plus, they tend to stay clean longer than you’d assume for predominantly white sneakers, which is a huge plus for everyday wear.
Although the Nike V2K is officially categorized as a lifestyle shoe and not designed for intense performance running, I find them perfect for gym workouts that don’t involve heavy running, airport travel, or simply casual day-to-day use. They run true to size, so I’d recommend sticking with your regular size when purchasing.
Overall, these dad shoes hit the sweet spot between function and fashion, offering versatility and comfort at a wearable price point, making them a great addition to anyone’s sneaker rotation.
