You don’t owe anyone anything
If THEY drop YOU, leave THEM WHERE they STAND. Some HAVE THE audacity TO CHECK on you, AFTER THEY pulled THE ROPE to shore and WATCHED YOU struggle. You OWE THEM nothing because they TRIED TO take EVERYTHING. They DON’T matter 🖤🤍🩶
There comes a time in life when we realize that not everyone deserves a place in our journey. I’ve personally experienced how draining it can be to keep investing in people who ultimately pull the rope away when you need them most. It’s important to remember that valuing yourself means not feeling obligated to those who have tried to take more than they give. Setting boundaries is a crucial act of self-love and self-care. When someone drops you at your lowest point and then pretends to check on you later, it’s not only disheartening but toxic. From my experience, walking away from such individuals has led to greater peace of mind and a stronger sense of independence. Acknowledging that you don’t owe anyone anything empowers you to focus on your well-being instead of trying to please others who don’t have your best interests at heart. This mindset encourages personal growth, helping you to surround yourself with genuine connections rather than energy-draining relationships. It’s also normal to struggle with feelings of guilt or obligation towards those who have wronged you, but remember that true friends and loved ones support you without conditions. Self-love is about nurturing your own happiness and respecting your emotional space. If someone tried to take everything from you, their presence no longer serves you positively. In embracing this philosophy, I found freedom—I stopped apologizing for prioritizing my own needs and recognized my worth beyond what others dictated. This journey is about reclaiming control over your life, choosing who deserves your time and energy, and fostering a life that uplifts and nourishes you emotionally. You truly owe yourself the kindness and respect that some fail to offer.
