Unlike high volume areas where price tends to consolidate or slow down due to trader activity, LVNs represent price zones where few trades have taken place. This often results in rapid price movement through these zones because there is little resistance or support. Using volume profile tools, I map out the areas where the market has previously traded a significant amount of volume, which often indicates strong trader interest and potential stopping points. When price approaches these levels after passing through an LVN with momentum, it tends to slow or reverse because traders defend their positions there. One tip I found helpful is not to interpret fast price moves through LVNs as stop hunts but rather as natural market dynamics. This understanding reduces emotional trading and helps me set more accurate entry and exit points. By integrating volume profile analysis into my day trading routine, I have improved my ability to anticipate where price might stall or accelerate, enhancing my overall trade management. For traders and investors looking to refine their strategies, focusing on volume nodes offers valuable clues about market structure and trader behavior.
