How I increased my milk supply!

hi there mama! welcome to the world of #motherhood. One of the many amazing things our bodies can do is produce food for our babies. I know, some people can’t or decide not to, which is perfectly fine. Fed is best! 💖

For those of you who want to increase your supply, I have some tips for you!

• body armour!!! body armour is a great way to hydrate & it’s good too. the coconut water is a fantastic source to utilize.

• protein: any kind of protein works. eggs, yogurt, red meat, etc. i have had the most success with yogurt & granola!

• skin contact: your body releases hormones to help your milk production when you do skin to skin with your baby!

• pump every 3-4 hours, around the clock!! your milk supply will only go up if your breast is emptied otherwise your body will make less.

• make sure your flange size is correct! your size can change throughout your journey!

Hydration plays a crucial role, with options like coconut water being highly beneficial. Consuming protein-rich foods such as eggs and yogurt can support milk production. Skin-to-skin contact with your baby helps trigger the release of hormones that promote lactation. Adhering to a pumping schedule every 3-4 hours can also stimulate your breast to produce more milk. Additionally, ensuring that you're using the correct flange size on your pump is crucial, as it can change during your breastfeeding journey. Remember that every mother's experience is unique, and what works for one may not work for another.
