What’s the basics of boosters?

11. Booster Basics

Can you use all four boosters at once?

All four boosters were not tested for use together. Each booster provides a very targeted benefit dedicated to overcoming a very specific skin concern, so we recommend a focused approach.

You can pair Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® HA + Ceramide Hydrator with any one of the other three boosters based on your primary skin concern.

How much product should I use?

It is recommended to apply 6-8 drops of each booster; however, the amount of product needed varies among users.

Are boosters suitable for all skin types?

Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® boosters are suitable for dry to oily skin types. The boosters were not tested specifically for sensitive skin.

Are Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® boosters suitable for pregnant women?

As with any skin care routine, if a woman is pregnant or nursing, it is recommended she consult her healthcare provider before using the products.

Who is the customer?

Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® boosters are for those with an already established skin care routine looking to focus on and overcome a specific skin concern, such as lines and wrinkles, hydration, uneven skin tone or skin smoothness.

What is the order of application?

After cleansing and toning, apply 6-8 drops of product on your face and neck. Allow time for the booster to fully absorb into the skin before applying the next step in your skin care routine. If using the HA + Ceramide Hydrator plus one additional booster, apply the additional booster first. Allow it to completely absorb into the skin, and then apply the HA + Ceramide Hydrator.

Can I mix Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® boosters into other Mary Kay® products?

No. Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® boosters are designed to be used as a stand-alone step added to a skin care routine.

Use the Mary Kay Clinical Solutions® Product Application Scenarios chart to determine which booster to recommend and how to apply them in the most effective order for best results.

... Read moreOkay, so when I first got my hands on the Mary Kay Clinical Solutions boosters, I was super excited but also a little overwhelmed! There are so many options, like the HA + Ceramide Hydrator, and I kept wondering, 'Am I using these right? Can I mix them all?' I’ve learned so much since then, and I want to share my personal journey and tips to help you get the most out of these amazing products. The star of the show for me has definitely been the HA + Ceramide Hydrator. If your skin ever feels tight, dull, or just generally unhappy, this booster is a game-changer. I used to struggle with dry patches, especially in winter, and adding just a few drops of this liquid gold after toning made such a visible difference. It feels like my skin just drinks it up, and it leaves my complexion feeling plump and hydrated all day. It’s truly built to target that specific concern of hydration and strengthening your skin barrier – something we all need! Now, about using multiple boosters. The initial advice can be a bit confusing, but here’s my take: think targeted! For example, while the HA + Ceramide Hydrator is super versatile, if you’re also dealing with fine lines, you might consider pairing it with the C-Resveratrol Line-Reducer (yes, those distinct Mary Kay Clinical Solutions booster bottles are so chic!). The key is to address one or two primary concerns. The article mentions not using all four together, and I totally get why – each one is so potent and focused. My routine usually involves the HA + Ceramide Hydrator with one other booster, depending on what my skin needs that day. Speaking of application, those 6-8 drops are usually perfect. I typically dispense them directly onto my fingertips and gently pat them onto my face and neck. The important thing is to let it fully absorb. I always set a little mental timer, maybe 30 seconds to a minute, before moving to the next step. This ensures maximum efficacy. And a big no-no is mixing them directly into other products! These boosters are formulated to be stand-alone powerhouses, so let them do their work solo before your next serum or moisturizer. One thing that really clicked for me was understanding the Mary Kay Clinical Solutions Product Application Scenarios chart (you might have seen images of it – it’s super helpful!). This chart isn’t just a random guide; it actually lays out suggested booster combinations and the best A.M. and P.M. application steps for various common skin concerns. For instance, if you're targeting both hydration and uneven tone, the chart guides you on which booster to apply first and when. It takes the guesswork out of layering and ensures you’re getting the most out of your investment without overwhelming your skin. It truly helped me tailor my routine. Even though the boosters are suitable for dry to oily skin types, if you have sensitive skin like me, it's always smart to perform a patch test first. While they weren't specifically tested for sensitive skin, I've found that by introducing them slowly and listening to my skin, I've had great results. For example, I started using the HA + Ceramide Hydrator every other day before moving to daily use. Ultimately, these boosters are designed for anyone with an established routine who wants to really tackle a specific skin concern, whether it's lines, hydration, or uneven skin tone. They've transformed my skin, making it feel healthier and look more radiant. Trust me, once you figure out your perfect booster combination and application rhythm, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them!
