everyone on my feed has been hyping up the viral korean green grape fried chicken from Mimisa and y’all omggg it’s actually worth the hype 😩👌 they’re located in a small food court in flushing (right off of main street) and they serve korean street food staples like tteokbokki, rice cakes, and ofc their ✨signature✨ fried chicken with some of the most unique toppings i’ve seen 🥹

what we ordered (🫶🏼 = my faves):

-tteokbokki (with fish cakes, cheese, ramyun, and egg)

-fish cake skewers 🫶🏼

-green grape fried chicken

-honey butter fried chicken 🫶🏼

-blueberry cream cheese fried chicken

such a small but mighty shop run by the sweetest owner 🇰🇷!! staring with tteokbokki and fish cakes was great because those were both sooo comforting. the tteokbokki wasn’t super spicy, it was actually kind of sweet and i liked it a lot 🥰 the fish cake skewers were served with an amazing cozy hot broth which we inhaled 😋

the main event was def the chicken. they have SO many flavors to choose from, and i’m amazed that we were able to limit ourselves to only three 😆

the green grapes were fresh, sweet, and lightly sour which balanced out the crispy and juicy fried chicken very well 🍇⚖️🍗 the blueberry cream cheese was a bit too rich for me 🫐 but the blueberries themselves were also very fresh! my ultimate favorite was the honey butter 🍯🧈 if you’re like me and love honey butter chips, i can pretty much guarantee you that you’ll be a fan of this 🤤

they’re one of my new fave spots in flushing and next time, i’d love to try their wasabi/onion/mayo and cheese/herb dip flavors!

Mimisa
2024/9/27 Edited to

... Read moreOkay, so you've heard the buzz about Mimisa Korean Kitchen, right? Honestly, I completely get why! After my first visit to this gem tucked away in a Flushing food court, I felt like I needed to share even more about what makes it so special, especially for anyone searching for 'Mimisa Korean kitchen menu' or 'Mimisa Korean chicken'. First off, finding Mimisa is part of the adventure. It's in a bustling food court, which can be a bit overwhelming if you're not used to it. My tip? Look for the 'Chicker' sign with the 'NEW & VIRAL' tag – that's your beacon! Once you're there, brace yourself for some of the most innovative and delicious Korean fried chicken and street food you'll find in NYC. Let's talk chicken, because that's what Mimisa is famous for. While the original article touched on the viral green grape and the amazing honey butter, I want to dive a bit deeper. The green grape fried chicken isn't just a gimmick; it's a masterclass in balancing flavors. The fresh, sweet, and lightly sour grapes cut through the richness of the crispy, juicy fried chicken perfectly. It's surprisingly refreshing and definitely a must-try for adventurous eaters. For those who prefer a more classic-but-elevated experience, the honey butter fried chicken is an absolute dream. If you're a fan of honey butter chips, prepare to have your mind blown. It's sweet, savory, and incredibly addictive – truly worth the hype. But Mimisa isn't just about the chicken. Their Korean street food staples are equally fantastic. The tteokbokki, for instance, isn't overly spicy; it has a lovely subtle sweetness that makes it incredibly comforting. Adding cheese, ramyun, and egg elevates it to a hearty meal. And those fish cake skewers? Served in a cozy hot broth, they're the perfect warm-up, especially on a chilly day. I also noticed they offer other unique toppings and flavors for their chicken that I'm eager to try next time, like the wasabi/onion/mayo and cheese/herb dip flavors mentioned in the menu. This really shows how Mimisa stands out with its 'unique toppings' and commitment to fresh ingredients. For anyone planning a visit, here are a few extra tips: Getting There: Mimisa is conveniently located right off Main Street in Flushing, making it accessible by public transport. Peak Hours: Like any popular spot, it can get busy. Try to go during off-peak hours if you want to avoid a longer wait, especially for your order to be prepared fresh. Menu Exploration: Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations! The staff are usually very friendly and can guide you through their extensive chicken flavors and street food options. Portion Sizes: Their chicken portions are generous, so it’s great for sharing or taking home leftovers. Overall, Mimisa Korean Kitchen in Flushing, Queens, is more than just a place to grab a bite; it's an experience. It’s trending in Korea and now bringing those amazing flavors to NYC. Whether you're craving crispy, juicy fried chicken with innovative toppings or classic comforting street food, Mimisa is definitely a spot that delivers. It’s absolutely 'WORTH THE HYPE' and a fantastic addition to the NYC food scene.
