Chronic Illness is Stressful

Chronic illness is stressful. Things that should trigger an episode don’t. And what shouldn’t trigger an episode does.

What triggered it this time? Sitting up straight in the recliner. Pain was so bad I vomited from it. Classic signs of a dislocated shoulder.

Unfortunately, because chronic illnesses aren’t that simple, neither was this. X-rays came back that it wasn’t a dislocation (thankfully). On the opposite end though, due to my hEDS, I now need to see an orthopedic specialist to figure out what is going on.

Sling until I can tolerate moving my arm. Pain meds until I can get an MRI.
