Weekend Before Christmas!
I definitely felt festive this weekend 🥰
Read:
🕯️ Love You a Latke was an adult romance based around Hanukkah (with a lil incidental Christmas) with a grumpyxsunshine pairing and very cute fake dating.
❄️ Love in Winter Wonderland was a Christmas themed YA focused on two bookstore employees, one of which's family owns the store, trying to save it from being sold.
Made:
I did my last Christmas Cookie baking sesh! I don't make rugelach every year, but I'm always really happy I do on the years it does happen. The nuts, however, are always demanded hahaha
And I've been practicing spinning with a drop spindle! My focus right now is on going thicker (I tend towards very thin) and trying to get a more consistent weight & spin, which is... going 🤷
Played:
We pulled out some of the favs this weekend!
⛪Azul Stained Glass of Sintra is a tile drafting game with beautiful tiles and a modular board. I lost baaaad this time, but I'm usually pretty good 😅
🌷Azul Queen's Garden is another tile drafting game but with a much more structured board and a whole lot of sacrificing of peices. This is my redemption for Stained Glass (I almost always win muahaha), we played twice.
🦁 Harmonies is a tile drafting game (sense a theme?) about habitats. It's kind of addicting! We played twice, I won once.
🦐 Mantis is my dad's favorite game, and it mostly luck and a lot of silly fun. I won 1/3 very short rounds, and my father was very annoyed that he lost every single round 😂
🎪 Scout is a card game with reversible cards and a hand order you can't rearrange. This is a tricky, super fun game of runs and matches and I win ✨ a lot ✨
Watched:
White Christmas & The Muppet Christmas Carol are Annual watches in this house! We actually watched them back to back this year
Presents:
I got to finish up my gifts! I actually wrapped to Love Hard, but I'm not counting it in the movie round up because I started the rewatch the weekend before haha. I also made a trinket tray to go with another gift.

The weekend before Christmas is often filled with festive vibes and cherished traditions. Many people engage in holiday preparations, including baking cookies and crafting personalized gifts. Rugelach, a favorite pastry, often makes an appearance during this time, offering a delightful taste of the season. Additionally, board games such as Azul: Stained Glass of Sintra and Scout create wonderful family bonding moments, encouraging friendly competition and laughter. The choice of holiday films like *White Christmas* and *The Muppet Christmas Carol* further enhances the spirit with nostalgic joy, bringing families together for quality time. These activities not only enrich our holidays but also create lasting memories, emphasizing the importance of togetherness and celebration during this magical time. Whether cooking, playing games, or watching films, every tradition adds to the unique tapestry of Christmas celebrations, fostering warmth and love as we approach the big day.

Love Hard is one of my favorites!
