mi hija y sus bts
My daughter's journey into the world of BTS, and specifically her adoration for Jungkook, has been an interesting ride for our whole family. It started subtly, with a new song playing on repeat in her room, then a poster of a handsome young man appearing on her wall. Before I knew it, our home was filled with the rhythmic beats of K-pop, and the name “Jungkook” became as common as any family member’s. I admit, at first, I didn't quite get it. What was this phenomenon? But seeing her light up when talking about BTS, or watching her practice their intricate dance moves, I couldn't help but be curious. She would tell me, "Mom, you have to listen to this Jungkook song!" or "Look, it's 'ella y su Jungkook,'" pointing to a picture. Her enthusiasm was infectious. I started paying more attention, and slowly, I began to understand the appeal. Jungkook, the Golden Maknae, is undeniably talented. His voice is incredible, his dancing is mesmerizing, and his dedication to his craft is inspiring. Through my daughter's eyes, I saw not just a pop star, but a role model who works incredibly hard and cares deeply for his fans. It's not just about the music; it's about the message of self-love, perseverance, and dreams that BTS consistently promotes. These are values I want my daughter to embrace, and if Jungkook and the rest of BTS can help instill them, then I'm all for it. Being a parent of a BTS ARMY member means embracing a new lifestyle. It means understanding 'comebacks,' 'streaming parties,' and the importance of voting for awards. It means late-night conversations about their latest music video theories and patiently waiting for new merchandise to drop. We've even learned some Korean phrases together! It’s become a beautiful way for us to connect, sharing in her excitement and learning about a culture far removed from our own. For any parents out there whose daughters (or sons!) are captivated by Jungkook or BTS, my advice is to lean into it. Ask questions, listen to the music with them, and try to understand what makes these artists so special to them. You might just find yourself becoming a fan too, or at the very least, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for your child’s passions. It's more than just a band; it's a community, a source of joy, and a powerful force for positivity in her life. And as a parent, seeing my daughter happy and inspired by something so wholesome is truly priceless.
