Voice progress in 7 months
Okay, so while my original post was super short and focused on my voice, I know a lot of you out there, especially those just starting or considering T, are curious about other changes too. And let's be real, 'bottom growth' is often a big one that people want to know about but might feel a bit shy asking. So, since you're here, let me share a bit more about my personal experience on testosterone regarding this specific change. For those wondering, 'bottom growth' refers to the enlargement of the clitoris due to testosterone. It's one of the earliest and most consistent changes for FTM individuals taking T. For me, I started noticing subtle changes within 5 months of starting my hormone therapy. It wasn't dramatic overnight, but a gradual process. Initially, it was just increased sensitivity, which was definitely new! Over time, I observed a noticeable increase in size. Everyone's experience is different, of course, but it's a common and expected effect of T. I remember doing a lot of research before starting T, trying to figure out what to expect. There's a wide range of what's considered 'normal' for bottom growth, and it can continue to progress even past the *1 year mark*. So, it definitely teaches you *your patience*! It's not something that happens quickly and then stops; it's an ongoing journey, much like other changes on T. Some people experience a lot of growth, others less, but most trans men do get some degree of it. In terms of sensation, alongside the growth, I've experienced heightened sensitivity. This can be a bit overwhelming at times, especially when clothing rubs against it, but overall, it's just another part of my body aligning more with how I feel inside. It's a significant marker of masculinization for many of us, contributing to a greater sense of bodily congruence. It's not just about physical size, but also about the internal feeling of being more 'me.' It's also worth noting that while some people experience more dramatic changes, for many, the growth is subtle but still significant. There's no "right" amount of growth. And just like voice changes, facial hair, or muscle redistribution, it's unique to each individual's genetics and response to hormones. My journey with bottom growth has been a continuous evolution, and it's taught me a lot about embracing the process. For anyone who's feeling anxious or curious, my biggest advice is to remember that every body responds differently to hormones. Try not to compare your journey too strictly to others. Focus on what feels right for *you*. It's your body, your transition, and these changes, whether it's voice drops or bottom growth, are all part of an incredibly personal and transformative process. Don't hesitate to talk to your doctor or other trans folks in safe spaces if you have specific concerns or questions. Knowing what to generally expect can help, but embracing the uniqueness of your own path is key. Remember, this is my journey, and while I share it openly, *to you guys*, your experience will be your own.
