STEAL THIS LOOK!

These seem to be popular on here, so let me try it.

👟 Shoes: Composite toe, slip resistant, high top work boots

💌 Brand: Hytest

💵 Price: can’t remember; it was covered wholly by a boot voucher from a previous job of mine

👍Why I like it: having composite toes rather than steel reduces the effects of weather (heat, freezing cold), there isn’t a painful break in period with these

🤔Cons: In my experience, the Hytest boots aren’t as durable as other brands such as Red Wings or Timberland Pro.

Purchased from:: Intermountain Safety Shoe

👖Pant: Had to specifically buy work pants, as regular blue jeans lacked durability, and the last pair I used for this purpose were almost down to being assless chaps. Since I only do this part-time, I don’t get issued uniforms like the cool kids do

💌 Brand: Dickies Work Wear

💵 Price: I think they were around $30 or so

👍Why I like it: They’re thick and durable for a work environment

🤔Cons: they get pretty hot on a warm day and take a long time to dry if they get wet

Purchased from:: Walmart

👕Top: ANSI Class II reflective work shirt

💌 Brand: DPSafety

Price: Fluctuates, generally around $15

👍Why I like it: well ventilated, dries quickly when it gets wet, lightweight, comfortable

🤔Cons: the sizes tend to run small, so I end up feeling like a real pork chop when I have to pick a size which fits properly

Purchased from:: DPSAFETY on Amazon

Hat: This was purchased from an ice cream shop called Howling Cow Creamery, which is operated as part of the agricultural program at North Carolina State University, where the ice cream is made from milk they produce and process on-site, the end result being some of the freshest ice cream you can get

💌 Brand: Sportsman

💵 Price: $20

👍Why I like it: It doesn’t have the dorky padded brim of a trucker hat, it was available in colors not too reminiscent of NCSU colors (I’ve always rooted for UNC-CH), it supports something I think is really awesome and worthy of support. Also does great hiding the effects of aging and the thinning out hair which goes with it

🤔Cons: I’m about at the extent of what it’ll

accommodate size wise, so if you have a particularly large noggin, it won’t fit very well for you

Purchased from:: Howling Cow Creamery

... Read moreWhen choosing workwear, practicality and comfort should always be prioritized. The right shoes, like the Hytest composite toe boots, can make a significant difference by providing protection while being lightweight and comfortable. These boots are designed to withstand various weather conditions without the discomfort associated with traditional steel-toed options. Additionally, investing in durable work pants, such as those from Dickies Work Wear, is crucial for maintaining your attire in a work-oriented setting. Look for pants that balance thickness for protection and breathability to keep you comfortable throughout the day. A lightweight, ANSI Class II reflective work shirt enhances safety while providing ventilation and easy drying capabilities—essential features for outdoor tasks. It's wise to check size specifications beforehand, as these can vary widely among brands. Lastly, don’t underestimate the value of accessories. A quality hat not only protects from elements but can also represent personal style and support local businesses, like Howling Cow Creamery. The right accessories can play a vital role in completing your look while ensuring functionality. Prioritize wearability and comfort in your choices, and you'll be ready to tackle any task with style!
