Homemade Caramel sauce!✨
Recipe:
1 cup of granulated sugar
6 Tablespoons of butter
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions - Start by melting sugar on medium heat stirring continuously. Once your sugar has melted completely and is a nice golden color remove from heat. Then add 6 tablespoons of butter room temp, stir until combined. Then add in your heavy cream. I would let it sit out a little while before adding it as well.
Then add your vanilla extract and sea salt if you desire.
Let it rest until cooled then put it in your refrigerator. I would say it’s good for a week-2 weeks.
