This is a Safe Space
The apostle Peter said that if you want to enjoy life and see good things, say nothing evil or hurtful. How much higher would we go if we didn’t have to have the last word when we disagree, not have to be right, but just quietly keep honoring God, being respectful, staying on the high road? Be Blessed 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Creating a safe space in life is truly transformative, especially when rooted in faith and respect. I’ve personally found that when I approach conflicts without insisting on having the last word or being right, it fosters peaceful relationships and deeper understanding. It aligns closely with the apostle Peter’s advice to refrain from evil or hurtful speech if we want to enjoy life and see good things. In practicing this, I often start my day reflecting on scripture like Psalm 95:6-7, which invites us to honor God with reverence and humility. Pausing to recognize God's presence helps keep my heart centered on respect and kindness, even in challenging interactions. Moreover, casting anxiety onto God as 1 Peter 5:7 suggests has been a source of comfort for me. Instead of letting worries fuel harsh words, turning them over to God allows me to maintain calmness and respond with grace. This practice nurtures a safe emotional space within myself and with others. Another key part of creating a safe space lies in consciously choosing actions and words that glorify God and encourage those around us. I find that when I prioritize honoring God through kindness and patience, my environment naturally becomes more supportive and empowering. Lastly, taking moments to sit quietly and reflect after prayers or worship, as highlighted in Ephesians 3:20-21, strengthens this safe space. It allows for peaceful contemplation and a deeper connection with God’s will, which guides me away from negativity and towards uplifting interactions. In summary, embracing a safe space is about fostering respect, humility, and God-centered kindness. It transforms not only how we relate to others but also enhances our personal well-being by reducing conflict and anxiety. I encourage everyone to try these reflections—it’s amazing how powerfully peaceful life can become when we commit to honor God quietly and respectfully.
