I appreciate the empathy in thinking of other families and that’s admirable but offering them expired car seats is not the solution.
Instead I’d point them in the direction of finding safe seats. Some ideas:
•contact the health dept.
•visit a local SafeKids car seat inspection site- they’re car seat specialists and would likely know of programs or have seats onsite.
•contact police depts, fire depts, & first aid squads.
•ask in a local moms Facebook group.
• and a local organization that specifically helps families and moms.
And on your own you can find seats that are around $60. The Cosco Scenera comes to mind because that’s what I bought my own kids as their first travel seat.
