Tiny nuggets
Very busy day.
I got an email about these 3 nuggets. The story goes that an elderly man that has cancer had a home health person that would come by his trailer. Days ago, maybe 4-5, he was taken to the hospital because his health deteriorated. The home health nurse failed to mention that he has 5 cats in the trailer until today. When the landlord went to check, the 2 adults bolted out the door and the babies were captured. So now there are 2 frightened adults that are now outside in these frigid temps. Fortunately, the landlord is leaving a door cracked so that maybe they will come back. While I am extremely grateful for the babies, my heart is broken for the 2 others. I sent a trap back with my contact because they cannot be left behind. So, these poor cats have been without food, water and electricity for up to 5 days because they were locked in the trailer. The babies are definitely hissy & terrified but at least they are safe. They ate very well and were very thirsty, too. Although they are thin, maybe a pound each, they seem okay. There are 2 girls and the boy is the grey one with white on him. No, I didn’t have room, yes, I figured it out.
