Review for Work in Progress

When reading Work in Progress, its hard to believe that Georgia Raine is a baby author. The characters she creates are so real and human, its hard to believe they are make believe.

WIP is the beginning of Lola and Beckett's story and it is full of so many feels. You laugh, you cry, and you need a cold shower at times.

After escaping an abusive relationship, Lola is determined to get back on her feet, and becoming the victor instead of the victim.

Beckett has been in love with Lola since the day he set eyes on her. Helping her get her life back is what he is determined to do. But Beckett has his own secrets and they can both end things before they can truly begin.

These two complete each other, but there is still a piece missing.

Being one of the Queens of the cliffy, Georgia Raine leaves us begging for more in the best way possible.

... Read moreOkay, so after diving headfirst into 'Work in Progress,' I'm still reeling! Georgia Raine truly has a knack for creating characters you instantly connect with. For anyone who loved the raw emotion and journey of Lola and Beckett, let's talk about what makes this book, and potentially Georgia's other works, so captivating. If you're like me, you're probably wondering what else Georgia Raine has up her sleeve, especially after that incredible cliffhanger! She's quickly becoming one of my go-to authors for romance that packs a punch. Her writing style is so fluid, making it easy to get lost in the story, and she's not afraid to tackle tough subjects with grace and realism. You might be looking for more authors like her, and honestly, finding someone who can deliver such intense 'feels' is a treasure. One of the things I absolutely adore about 'Work in Progress' is that it's just the beginning of Lola and Beckett's adventure. Knowing it's a 'Story Duet' makes me both thrilled and anxious! I'm already counting down the days until the next installment. The thought of seeing our 'Queen' Lola fully embrace her strength alongside her 'Knight' Beckett, after everything they've been through, is just... *chef's kiss*. Georgia Raine certainly knows how to keep us hooked, leaving us on the edge of our seats, eagerly anticipating how they'll overcome the secrets and challenges that still linger. The way she weaves their individual struggles into a cohesive, passionate narrative is pure genius. What kind of growth will we see in the next book? I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster that awaits! This book isn't just a romance; it's a powerful story of healing and self-discovery. Lola's journey from victim to victor after her abusive relationship is incredibly inspiring. It's a testament to strength and resilience, and Beckett's unwavering support, while dealing with his own secrets, adds so many layers. It's got elements of second-chance romance, hidden pasts, and that wonderful 'found family' vibe as they navigate life's complexities together. If you're into narratives where characters genuinely grow and fight for their happy ending, even when things get incredibly tough, then this is definitely for you. The emotional depth Raine brings to these tropes is what sets her apart. So, if you're looking for a book that will make you laugh, cry, and maybe even need a cold shower (you'll know what I mean!), 'Work in Progress' is a must-read. It's a fantastic start to what promises to be an unforgettable series. Seriously, go grab your copy and prepare for all the feels! What are your thoughts on cliffhangers? Are you ready for the next part of Lola and Beckett's story?
