Healthy IBS Finds -Milk and Honey
I was recently diagnosed with IBS and finding nutritional and healthy options that still taste good was very hard. But on my vacation I found this amazing and delicious toast and found a way to recreate it to my needs! My main trigger is gluten so here is my recipe to this amazing toast that I highly recommend. To other IBS sufferers, just figure out what your triggers are and substitute as you will. And for others, try this toast! It’s amazing
🍞 Toast Recipe:
-Sourdough (I replace with Schar Gluten free bread)
-Fig Spread
-goat cheese crumbles (I used feta)
-Arugula (or spring mix)
-Prosciutto
And enjoy with a side of fresh berries!
If you have IBS, managing your diet can be challenging, especially when navigating triggers like gluten. One effective approach is to focus on whole, unprocessed foods that are gentle on the digestive system. Incorporating gluten-free options like Schar gluten-free bread can provide comfort without compromising on taste. Additionally, the combination of goat cheese, fig spread, and fresh greens like arugula not only enhances flavor but also adds nutritional value. Consider pairing your toast with low-FODMAP fruits such as berries, which are not only delicious but also rich in antioxidants. By experimenting with different toppings and combinations, you can find meals that are both enjoyable and easy on your stomach. Always remember to listen to your body and adjust your meal choices based on your individual triggers. This involves keeping a food diary, which can help in identifying what works best for you while managing IBS symptoms effectively.
