... Read moreWow, what an incredible weekend it was! Our Natchitoches Central High School Class of 1985 had its 40th-year reunion, and it was everything I hoped for and more. It feels like just yesterday we were walking those halls, and now here we are, celebrating four decades of friendship and memories. The atmosphere was absolutely electric from the moment I walked in. The venue was decorated beautifully, with a huge banner proudly proclaiming "NATCHITOCHES CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1985" surrounded by sparkling gold balloons. It instantly brought back so many feelings of nostalgia and camaraderie. Seeing everyone's faces, some I hadn't seen in years, was truly heartwarming. One of the highlights was definitely our themed attire! So many of us embraced the fun with fantastic cowboy-themed outfits. You could spot women in brown fringed vests, stylish cowboy boots, and classic cowboy hats everywhere. It added such a festive and unique touch to the whole event, making for some truly memorable photos. We had a blast posing for group shots, with everyone laughing and sharing stories about their lives since graduation. It wasn't just about dressing up; it was about celebrating our spirit and our shared history. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces. I even spotted Raleigh Frazier, which brought back a flood of memories from our school days. The candid shots of small groups chatting, smiling, and hugging truly captured the essence of the reunion. We even had some fun selfies going around, with everyone trying to get the best angles in their cowboy gear! There was even a moment where a few of us donned yellow t-shirts that read "Once a Chief, Always a Chief" – a perfect testament to our enduring school pride, even after all these years. It really shows that some bonds are just unbreakable. Beyond the main event, it was lovely to reflect on Natchitoches Central High School itself. We saw photos of the old building, which brought back so many memories of classes, sports, and just hanging out. It’s amazing how much a place can mean to you, even decades later. Looking through all the pictures now, I'm struck by how much joy and genuine connection there was. These photos aren't just snapshots; they're precious keepsakes of a wonderful time spent with people who shaped so much of my past. If you missed it, you truly missed out on an awesome time filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt conversations. I'm already looking forward to the next one, and I'll cherish these photos until then!
