Reese’s Brownies😋

Ingredients

•1 egg

• Vegetable oil

•1 box of Reese’s brownie mix

•Water

•Pan

•Toothpicks(for checking)

•Bowl for mixing/Spoon

I lay all my ingredients out and I start by adding my Reese’s brownie mix to my bowl (yes it has Reese’s chips inside) and I add my one egg and I add 1/3 cups of vegetable oil and 3 tablespoons of water and mix it really good then I set my oven to 325 degrees and I take a thin layer of vegetable oil and put it on my pan so it won’t stick(can also use the oil spray)and I add my mix to my pan & I get my spoon and make sure all the Reese’s chips are all spread out at the bottom of my pan and not clumped up. Then I have it in the over for about 40 minutes but check it every 20 with a toothpick & after 40 minutes I let it cool off and cut it up into squares and added icing for flavor and enjoyed☺️😋

... Read moreI absolutely love how easy and delicious homemade brownies can be, especially starting with a good quality box mix! While my personal favorite is often the Betty Crocker Reese's Brownie Mix for that amazing peanut butter twist, I've learned over time that you can take any brownie mix – whether it's Dr. Oetker, Ghirardelli, or another trusted brand – and easily elevate it to taste like it's from a fancy bakery. It's all about a few simple swaps and additions! One of my top tips is to swap out the vegetable oil for melted butter. Trust me, it makes a huge difference in richness and flavor. Where oil gives moisture, butter adds that deep, dairy-rich taste that just screams homemade. Another secret weapon? A splash of strong brewed coffee or espresso. You won't taste the coffee itself, but it magically deepens and intensifies the chocolate flavor, making your brownies even more decadent. If you're aiming for ultimate fudginess, try adding an extra egg yolk to the batter. This little trick provides more fat and less liquid, resulting in a denser, chewier brownie. And don't forget a pinch of sea salt! It truly balances out the sweetness of the chocolate and enhances all the other flavors. Finally, a good quality vanilla extract is a non-negotiable for me; it brightens up the entire profile. Beyond ingredient swaps, proper baking technique is crucial. Just like with my Reese's brownies, don't overmix the batter. Mix just until combined to avoid developing too much gluten, which can lead to tough brownies. And the golden rule of brownies: don't overbake! They might look a little underdone in the center when you pull them out, but they continue to cook in the hot pan. The toothpick test is your friend – it should come out with moist crumbs, not completely clean. This ensures that gooey, fudgy texture everyone loves. Letting them cool completely (or at least mostly) before cutting is also key for clean slices and preventing them from falling apart. I know it's hard to wait, but it's worth it! And why stop there? Box mixes are a fantastic canvas for creativity! You could swirl in some extra peanut butter, cream cheese, or even caramel sauce before baking. After they've cooled, feel free to add a frosting, like I did with my Reese's brownies, or sprinkle on some chopped nuts, mini chocolate chips, or crushed candies. Imagine a mix with white chocolate chips, or maybe a peppermint swirl for the holidays! The possibilities are endless, and it's a fun way to personalize your treats. So, whether you're reaching for a Dr. Oetker brownie mix for a classic chocolate treat or sticking with the delightful Betty Crocker Reese's Brownie Mix, these simple enhancements will help you achieve bakery-worthy results right in your own kitchen. Experiment with these tips and find what works best for your taste buds. Happy baking!
