Bona fide

the very act of hitting rock bottom is beautiful, whereby we look around and realise everything we once held importance suddenly vanishes into oblivion.

and we realise, nothing ever matters. Nothing ever is that deep. we build a life attributing importance to a set of factors that just *dissolves* the moment we hit that rock bottom. I mean, what's there to hold on to when you're left with nothing? How important can something be then?

It's no wonder so many people turn to substances, or perhaps darker thoughts when rock bottom is hit.

So instead, why not fall in love with it all? even at rock bottom?

Some call it stoicism, some call it fate, others label it absurdism. But at its core, we all just seek to understand the chaos of life. And we realise nothing ever matters and nothing is ever that deep.

In an ironic twist of events, the very act of seeking meaning lands us in the very position where we realise the meaning was never the destination but the process.

When you realise instead of eatijg to survive, eating is fun. When you realise the end goal of the relationship isn't as important as what happens in between.

Fall in love with not knowing, yet at the same time knowing. Knowing not the destination but knowing whatever the outcome the meaning will always be held in the process. Perhaps one day you may look up in the sun and breathe and realise, this is all okay

... Read moreHitting rock bottom can feel like the ultimate low point in life, but it often marks the beginning of profound personal growth. From my own experience, reaching that place where everything you once valued crumbles can be terrifying but also oddly freeing. When you have nothing left to cling to, you start to see life through a different lens—one where petty worries and societal pressures lose their grip. The idea that “nothing ever matters” is not about nihilism but a reminder to stop overburdening ourselves with expectations. This shift helped me develop a kind of resilience grounded in acceptance rather than resistance. I realized that struggling against the chaos only increased my suffering. Instead, when I embraced uncertainty and the unpredictability of life, moments of peace began to emerge. Many philosophies like stoicism and absurdism highlight this very notion—that life’s meaning isn’t found in fixed goals but in how we respond to challenges. This mindset shift encouraged me to find joy in everyday acts, like sharing a meal or cultivating relationships, without obsessing over outcomes. It fosters a deep appreciation for the present, where meaning is continuously created in the lived experience rather than being a predefined destination. Additionally, surrounding yourself with positive, non-toxic relationships can profoundly impact your recovery from rock bottom. Images and reflections about friends who bring “bad energy” resonate with me because distancing oneself from such negativity is crucial when rebuilding. Positive support opens space to heal and rediscover purpose. In summary, loving the process despite uncertainty and chaos not only builds inner strength but also transforms how we perceive life itself. You might find yourself one day, simply breathing in the sun, feeling a profound sense that everything is, indeed, okay.

Prada Caffè is more than just a bougie Cafe
I wasn’t expecting the pastries at Prada Caffè to be this good. We get to try some savouries from their new Summer menu and I would say the food is generally decent and up to expectations. The pastries stood out more as they are well-balanced and not overly sweet. The desserts were catered to suit
