What is the Gunfighter Pistol Series? Let us give you a brief overview.
The Gunfighter Pistol Series is a four (4) part intermediate to advanced firearms training series that challenges students with dynamic training scenarios that require rapid decision-making and physical movement within safely regulated three dimensional shooting environments. Gunfighter courses teach students how to fight and win using their handgun.
The four-part series classes are:
Gunfighter Pistol (1) Compromised Shooting (1-Day Course): An Advanced Tactical Pistol Shooting Course, which develops skills for deploying the handgun and assuring accuracy when fighting from unconventional shooting positions, shooting and moving, and shooting from positions of cover behind barricades and vehicles.
Gunfighter Pistol (2a) "Fight for Your Gun" (1-Day Course): A course which develops the necessary mindset, skills and techniques used for gun take-aways, gun strikes, gun retention, and deploying the handgun from the holster, as used in close quarters fighting.
THIS NON-SHOOTING FIREARMS COURSE is recommended for anyone who uses a defensive handgun for personal protection (inside or outside their home).
Gunfighter Pistol (2b) Win the Close Fight (1-Day Course): An Advanced Tactical Pistol Shooting Course, which develops mindset, techniques and skills for deploying the handgun from the holster and assuring accuracy when firing accurate shots into multiple threats fighting in close quarters. It includes close fighting and retention shooting techniques used while engaging multiple threats within 5-feet (“bad breath” distance).
Gunfighter Pistol (3) Vehicle Defense: A TWO (2) DAY Advanced Tactical Pistol Shooting Course, which includes vehicle defense strategy and theory, seated shooting from inside a vehicle, controlling unarmed passengers, and fighting to a position of safety or shooting from vehicle cover. It is conducted entirely outdoors, on the range.
Gunfighter Pistol (4) Disruptive Environments (1-Day Course): An Advanced Tactical Pistol Shooting Course, which develops the skills, techniques, and mindset required to deploy and manipulate the handgun in disruptive environments in order to accurately engage multiple threats when fighting with one eye, one arm, or one hand is injured. It includes intuitive defensive shooting, shooting in disruptive environments, one handed shooting, and injured-hand firearms manipulations.
Currently, we have two tentative offerings of two of these courses and are determining how much interest there is in the other courses, before we schedule the rest. Because of the dynamic nature of this training, the MAXIMUM students allowed in these classes is TEN (10), so registration and payment early is imperative if you intend to reserve your slot.

Gunfighter Pistol (3) Vehicle Defense: June 28-29, 2025
This is a 2-Day course with a registration fee that is is regularly $350, however, through the partnership with Core Concepts Tactical Defense, we are offering the training at $300 per person.
Gunfighter Pistol (4) Disruptive Environments: August 3, 2025.
This is a 1-Day course with a registration fee of $250 per person.
These are NOT basic shooting courses. These courses do not satisfy NMCCW or TXLTC permit certification requirements. It is STRONGLY encouraged that you to attend the NRA Defensive Pistol Shooting Course before attending GUNFIGHTER training.
