On June 1, 2026, military, police and special operations personnel in the Narathiwat province area took part in an operation to inspect the Ban or Ban Dzongjorn district. The district will introduce Narathiwat province. After receiving information about the movement of violent militants linked to the shooting case, the bailiff will introduce on April 1, 2026 in the Ban Suk area. The district will introduce Narathiwat province.

While inspecting the area, a group of violent militants fired firearms at the officers, resulting in the death of Ranger Volunteer Senator Pong Chumya, who was affiliated with the 46th Ranger Regiment task force. The officers rushed to the hospital to recommend it, but later died.

In the aftermath of the incident, the officers conducted the necessary situational and tactical responses to protect themselves and secure the forces, as well as take control of the crash site, thoroughly investigate the facts, and negotiate persuades the violent perpetrators to turn themselves in to justice in accordance with peaceful means.

Currently, the authorities continue to control the area and organize additional forces to support the practice, expediting the pursuit of those involved to prosecute the law, thus asking for the cooperation of the public to avoid approaching the area.
