On June 9, 2026, at approximately 00.40 hours, the 43rd Ranger Regiment Task Force Unit was notified by Pattani Green Biomass Power Plant Authorities Limited in the Moo 1 area, Likhasagong District, Nongjic District, Pattani Province, that an unknown number of persons had been smuggled inside the factory compound in the rear.
According to preliminary information, the group threatened officers and security inside the facility with firearms before the explosion occurred inside the facility.
Subsequent to the report, the 43rd Ranger Regiment task force immediately directed local forces to take control of the situation, establishing checkpoints, extraction points, and blocking surrounding areas to prevent complications, monitor troublemaker movements, and facilitate officers on mission to monitor the area.
Authorities are currently underway to investigate the crash site, assess damage, collect forensic evidence, and expedite investigations to track down those involved in the legal proceedings without finding any reports of injuries or deaths in the incident.
