Help me make this space cute!

I really need help styling this house I will be moving into soon.

It’s very dark so I need some ideas on how to lighten it up a bit and make it cuter in general. It’s a rental so it has to be renter friendly.

I included some pictures of stuff I already have and stuff I that I like to give you a better idea of my style. I’d call my style western and grandma combined haha. It’s out in the country.

It’s also very small so keep that in mind.

*this is the only picture I have of the house right now, sorry!

Here are some fresh ideas to style your home while keeping it renter-friendly: 1. **Use Light Colors**: Opt for lighter paint shades, or if that's not possible, you can use removable wallpaper or wall decals. This will help brighten the space, making it feel more open. 2. **Incorporate Mirrors**: Strategically placing mirrors can amplify natural light and give an illusion of a larger room. Consider a statement mirror or a series of smaller ones for a gallery effect. 3. **Layered Lighting**: Ambient lighting might be scarce in darker rentals, so invest in various light sources. Use floor lamps, table lamps, and string lights to add warmth and illumination without permanent fixtures. 4. **Repurpose Furniture**: Your existing furniture can be creatively reimagined. Consider painting pieces with pet-safe, non-toxic paint or covering chairs with colorful slipcovers that feel soft and inviting. 5. **Add Greenery**: House plants can breathe life into any space. Look for low-light options that can thrive indoors, adding both color and freshness to your environment. 6. **Personal Touches**: Incorporate your style with decorations that express who you are. Frame family photos, display travel moments, or curate art pieces you love. 7. **Use Multifunctional Furniture**: In a small space, choose furniture that serves multiple purposes, such as storage ottomans or foldable tables. These can save room while ensuring you still enjoy comfort and style. With these ideas, you can easily make your rental feel like a home while maintaining your personal flair and adhering to landlord guidelines.

I used peel and stick tiles to cover floor, and wallpapered the walls. Renter hack put up painters tape in a grid pattern, then on top of tape put double sided tape and attach wallpaper. It comes down easily and doesn’t damage the walls.
