FOOD IN KL Part 1

Hello Zesties , Welcome to a honest review in KL part 1 (人*´∀`)。*゚+ fyi these are not sponsored ya just some recommendations from my friends and family . This place currently have 2 location and I went to the Pavilion Bukit Jalil one

📍Address:

/Ant Cave • Pavilion Bukit Jalil

/Ant Cave • Sunway Velocity

Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is intro by my atas tastebud cousin 🙂‍↔️ . When you came in the restaurant the server will bring in the free condiments before you even order . They had a physical menu for you to look but order must scan QR code so make sure you had data or wifi .

My cousin did all the ordering so currently they had a few set course . The one we choose is Pork & Eel set which cost RM198 . Just nice that my cousin birthday coming so they give us another pork belly cake for her and we already spent over RM200 which they had another extra complimentary food which you can choose either 1 of the option below :

☀️RM100 you will get another 2 extra pork belly with sauce or signature beef

☀️RM200 Charcoal-grilled fresh eel

☀️RM300 Giant Squid

We chose to get 2 pork since my cousin don't eat other selection much 🫠 (regret not choosing 1 beef and 1 pork )

Most of the grilling was done by the servers itself so we never did the barbequing which all are done with perfection (✯ᴗ✯)

Review on each food :

> Seafood pancake

Rating :⭐⭐⭐⭐

Highly addictive even without the sauce itself but when you dip with the sauce will gvies you a hint of spiciness and saltines with the pancake

> Pork belly in coconut

Rating :⭐⭐⭐⭐

Taste like a normal porkbelly but with a hint of coconut from the coconut water when they soaked in but they had another special sauce to dip with it and coconut flakes so add more coconut flavour in it

>Pork belly in special sauce

Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Highly addictive and we keep eating it non stop

> Spain Iberico pork belly

Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very juicy and not so oily every well balance

> Grilled Fresh Eel

Rating :⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Grilled with perfection and highly addictive taste like unagi from the Japanese sushi restaurant but more fresh and not very dry but more chewy from the fats .

>Green Lemon ice tea

Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very refreshing with a citrus

> Ice Lime mint punch

Rating :⭐⭐⭐

Not really for me taste more to a bitter notes than sour and minty

Overall it's is amazing would like to go eat again when I go back to KL 🤤

... Read moreAnt Cave truly stands out for its unique approach to dining, where grilling is expertly handled by the servers, ensuring each dish is cooked to perfection. Besides the dishes reviewed, it’s worth mentioning their thoughtful presentation and the variety of condiments provided alongside each meal, which enhance the flavors wonderfully. One personal tip is to try mixing the coconut flakes with the pork belly in coconut sauce; it adds a lovely texture and deepens the flavor. The grilled fresh eel is reminiscent of the famous Japanese unagi but offers a chewier, more succulent bite due to its freshness. For drinks, while the Green Lemon Ice Tea is wonderfully refreshing and citrusy, the Ice Lime Mint Punch might be an acquired taste if you prefer sweeter options, as it leans more bitter with subtle mint notes. If visiting for a special occasion like a birthday, be sure to mention it as Ant Cave offers complimentary treats that add a delightful surprise to your meal. Overall, the experience is elevated not just by the food quality but also by the attentive and friendly service, making it a great recommendation for anyone exploring the food scene in Kuala Lumpur.
