Too small, and they won't cover your natural nail; too large, and they might lift easily. I usually lay them out beforehand to find the perfect fit for each finger. When applying, a good quality nail glue makes all the difference. I put a small dot on my natural nail and a tiny bit on the back of the press-on, then press firmly for at least 15-20 seconds. This ensures a strong bond. But hand and nail care doesn't stop once your press-ons are on! To keep your hands soft and your cuticles healthy, I recommend moisturizing daily. A good hand cream and cuticle oil are your best friends. I keep them by my bedside and apply them every night. Also, try to wear gloves when doing chores like washing dishes or gardening. Harsh chemicals and excessive water exposure can weaken the glue and dry out your skin and nails. When it's time to remove your press-ons, be gentle! Don't just rip them off, as this can damage your natural nail plate. I soak my fingertips in warm, soapy water with a bit of oil for about 10-15 minutes, then use an orange wood stick to carefully pry them off from the sides. After removal, I give my natural nails a break, perhaps just a clear strengthening polish, and focus on nourishing them with more cuticle oil and hand cream before my next set.
