Tea Party baby shower
This was the cutest baby shower I had.
I had a few games like:
-guess the candy in the bottle 🍫
-don’t loose your baby 👶🏻
-biggest/most creative tea party hat 👒
I also added in:
-baby diaper raffle 🎟️
-baby fund raffle 💵
The baby fund was awesome and really helped. $5 per ticket adds up.
The raffles had gift cards plus another item as a prize and the other games were just little prizes, like home decor. I got all prizes, except gift cards, from 5 Below 💙
We had a choice of hot or iced tea with mini sandwiches and other yummy snacks. The cookies were tea party themed cookies and were my favorite! 🤩 Cake was a pull-apart cake made at Save Mart in Clovis, CA.
We had a table with a few pictures and 2 home photo albums of mom-to-be as a baby. It gave people an idea of what little one might look like one day 🩷
The wreath was hand made by me and was also another one of my favorites 😌🌸
Lastly, every guest took a candle to be lit when the baby was born ❣️

After hosting my tea party baby shower, I got so many questions about what guests should wear! It's true, a tea party theme offers a wonderful chance to dress up without being overly formal. For my guests, I suggested thinking 'garden party chic' or 'afternoon tea elegance.' Flowy floral dresses in pastel shades or soft prints are always a hit. Think midi or maxi lengths for comfort and style, perfect for mingling and enjoying the festivities. You could also opt for a stylish skirt and blouse combo, perhaps with a delicate lace or embroidered detail. Hats are a must for a true tea party feel – fascinators or wide-brimmed hats add such a charming touch and often become a fun talking point! Don't forget delicate jewelry, a small clutch, and comfortable, yet elegant, low heels or flats. The goal is to look polished and pretty, ready for a delightful afternoon of celebrating 'A sweet Baby girl is BREWING'! Remember, comfort is key so you can fully enjoy the special event. And what about the star of the show, the mom-to-be? Comfort is paramount, but you still want to feel beautiful and shine in all those precious photos! For my shower, I considered a flowy empire-waist dress in a soft, dreamy fabric like chiffon or lace. Pastel blues, pinks, or even a lovely cream or white color would be perfect choices, radiating a gentle glow. A dress that highlights your bump gracefully while allowing you to move freely is ideal, especially if you'll be playing games or mingling. You could even incorporate some subtle floral embroidery or a delicate sash to tie into a 'baby in bloom' feel. Remember, you'll be greeting guests, playing games, and opening gifts, so choose something that makes you feel effortlessly radiant from start to finish. A comfortable yet elegant pair of sandals or wedges would complete the look, allowing you to enjoy every moment without sore feet. Beyond just outfits, truly embracing themes like 'Baby in Bloom' or 'A Baby Girl is Brewing' can elevate your entire shower experience. For my event, the 'Baby Girl is Brewing' idea was central, and I wove it into everything, from the cute signage to the favors. Imagine a backdrop of lush greenery and delicate flowers, creating a 'garden tea party' atmosphere that feels fresh and inviting. Instead of just a regular cake, think of a tiered setup adorned with edible flowers or tea-cup motifs. The 'Baby in Bloom' theme lends itself beautifully to fresh flowers everywhere – centerpieces, garlands, even as accents on your food display. And those special candle favors I mentioned? They fit perfectly! Each guest took home a candle to light when the baby arrived, sending a warm wish. It’s such a touching way to extend the celebration and connect everyone to the moment a sweet new life 'blooms' into the world. You could even incorporate a 'wishing tree' where guests hang little notes for the baby, adding to the 'bloom' concept. Think about little details like mini potted succulents as favors, or seed packets for guests to plant, symbolizing growth and new beginnings. To make the 'Baby in Bloom' or 'A Baby is Brewing' theme truly pop, consider your color palette. Soft pastels like mint green, blush pink, lavender, and creamy ivory work wonderfully. These colors can be subtly woven into your invitations, tablecloths, floral arrangements, and even the desserts. For a 'Brewing' theme, think about incorporating subtle tea-related elements too – vintage teacups for decor, personalized tea bag favors, or even a fun 'tea tasting' station with different blends. Don't forget the music! Gentle, uplifting tunes can set the perfect ambiance without overpowering conversation. And as for photos, a designated photo booth area with themed props (like oversized teacups, flower crowns, or even a cute 'Baby is Brewing' sign) will encourage guests to capture all the beautiful memories. It's truly about creating an immersive and beautiful experience that celebrates the impending arrival of your little one.

That tea party theme is cute, but honestly, I'd probably spill tea everywhere. My clumsy self would be a disaster. 😂
