Im on a mental health journey🫶🏽
The past 4 or 5 years, I’ve been so stuck to TikTok. And it’s not a good thing. There is so much going on in that platform and it’s not funny. That was meant to be a kids app but now there’s so many “influencers” changing the app for worse. It got to a point where I was so sucked in and on the app every day, every second. I’m choosing to get rid of TikTok or just stay off of it along with Instagram. I followed many accounts for funny content and now when I open Instagram there’s always a post sexualizing stating “her OF is free”. Idk about y’all but I work in a child environment 😭!!
I wanted to spend my content creating ideas on an app that was calm and didn’t have the outside media affecting it. So here I am!
I’m Clarice! I’m a 23 year old single mom of a 2 1/2 year old (by choice) , I work a full time job from 7am-5pm, I go to the gym, and I started my journey with Christ this past December. I’ve only been on this app for less than 24 hours and I love everything and everyone that pops up when I open the app.🫶🏽🫶🏽 All I hope is to create a safe community through this app!
In today's digital age, social media can often overwhelm us, impacting our mental health negatively. For many, platforms like TikTok and Instagram provide a constant stream of content that can contribute to feelings of anxiety and depression. Acknowledging this, it's important to seek alternative spaces that foster positivity and support. Engaging with communities that share similar experiences, like those of single parents or working mothers, can be a great way to find strength and encouragement. Mental health journeys are unique and personal, and they often require stepping back from the noise of social media to focus on self-care and mental well-being. Consider incorporating mindfulness practices, journaling, or connecting with faith-based support groups into your routine. These practices can provide a sense of calm and direction, helping you feel grounded amidst daily challenges. By choosing to prioritize mental wellness and seeking platforms that promote positivity, you can take meaningful strides toward a healthier mindset. Remember, it's okay to take a break from social media and focus on nurturing yourself. Together, we can build a safe and supportive community that champions mental health awareness and inspires others to embark on their healing journeys.
