... Read moreAfter sharing my personal picks for Bible books, I've had so many of you ask about how to actually dive in, especially if you're just starting out! Don't worry, it's totally normal to feel a little overwhelmed at first. As a 'Bible Study For Beginners' enthusiast myself, I've learned a few tricks that make the journey so much more rewarding. My first tip for how to do Bible study as a beginner is to simply start small. You don't need to read an entire book in one sitting! Pick a quiet time and place, even if it's just 10-15 minutes a day. Begin with a prayer, asking God to open your heart and mind. Then, choose a manageable portion – maybe a chapter from John if you're looking to deepen your relationship with Jesus, or a few verses from Proverbs for daily wisdom. Consistency truly beats perfection here! Next up, let's talk about those 'bible study notes' and how to make them 'cute book notes'! Making notes is a game-changer for engagement. You could try the SOAP method (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer), or just journal your thoughts and questions. I personally love making my notes visually appealing; using different colored pens helps me categorize themes – maybe blue for God's promises, green for commands, and pink for personal applications. It makes rereading so much more enjoyable and helps the lessons stick! If you ever find yourself struggling with motivation, it helps to remember *what are 4 reasons why we study the Bible*. For me, these are: Spiritual Growth: Just like I mentioned with James for spiritual growth, studying God's Word challenges our perspectives and transforms us from the inside out. Wisdom & Guidance: Books like Proverbs offer incredible, practical wisdom for navigating everyday decisions and life situations. Encouragement & Hope: When I'm feeling down, turning to Psalms always brings encouragement. And for those really tough times, meditating on Job's story reminds me about faith in adversity. To Know God Better: Ultimately, the Bible is God's love letter to us. It reveals His character, His love, and His perfect plan for our lives. For continuous 'bible study encouragement', remember it's a marathon, not a sprint. Don't beat yourself up if you miss a day. Find an accountability partner or join a small group (even online!) to share insights and encourage each other. Celebrate the small victories, like understanding a new verse or applying a truth to your day. Finally, a common practical question I get is 'how much is bible?' You absolutely don't need to spend a fortune! There are many free Bible apps like YouVersion, which offer multiple translations. Affordable paperback versions are widely available, and your local church might even have resources. The most important thing is having a Bible you will read and engage with, not how fancy or expensive it is. Happy studying, friends! Let's continue to grow together. 🙌🏾🩷

At the moment, I am not reading any book. However, because of some conversations that I am having with a friend, I think I should read Proverbs. I love the wisdom that it provides. I have also learned a thing or two from reading some of the scriptures. Thanks for sharing 😊
