📖✨ Why I Changed How I Do Bible Plans ✨📖
I stopped reading Bible plans from the YouVersion Bible App for a few reasons:
1️⃣ Lazy. Yes, even with a convenient app, I still wasn’t consistent.
2️⃣ Easily distracted. Social media was just a tap away.
3️⃣ Not fulfilling. I struggled to find plans that truly spoke to me.
That’s why I switched to book-based Bible plans—like the one I’m currently reading, When You Pray. But don’t get me wrong—the Bible App is AMAZING! I still use it to read Scripture when I first wake up since I can do so in the quiet, dark morning hours without turning on a light. I also share plans with family and post them on social media because even if I don’t read them, someone else might need them.
✨ But this Bible plan by J N Manokaran? LIFE-CHANGING. It was so practical and gave me the clarity I needed. Sometimes, we don’t need something new—we just need the same foundational truths with fresh light on them.

In today's fast-paced world, maintaining a meaningful Bible study routine can be challenging. Many individuals find themselves caught in the distractions of social media and busy lifestyles, making it difficult to connect spiritually. The shift from app-based Bible plans to book-based approaches, like J.N. Manokaran’s transformative plan, addresses these challenges effectively. Book-based plans often provide a deeper engagement with the material, allowing for reflection and a more immersive experience. They facilitate the practice of key concepts from scripture, helping believers renew their minds as described in Romans 12:1-2. Incorporating daily habits of prayer and scripture reading can significantly enhance spiritual growth, encouraging individuals to face life’s challenges with divine guidance. In addition to focusing on individual study, there’s a communal aspect of Bible study that thrives in Christian communities. Intercessory prayer, where individuals pray for others, plays a crucial role in fostering connections among believers. As seen in the lives of figures like Job and Moses, this practice not only benefits those being prayed for but also enriches the spiritual lives of those who intercede. Building a support system within a church or study group can further encourage consistency and accountability in spiritual practices. By focusing on these methods, you can create a personalized spiritual routine that helps you overcome distractions and refocus on the principles of faith, community, and practical application of biblical wisdom.

Thanks for sharing this; it’s very inspirational.❤️ I fall behind on my Bible plans too sometimes. Yes their are a lot of distractions but I think it’s because I don’t have a set time scheduled to study them. I think scheduling and setting an alarm can be very helpful.
