Catch me ousssssside
This year my partner and I moved from a city to a mountain town and I can’t wait to spend all summer outside! I am truly the happiest when I am in nature.
Usually we go camping 2-3 times a year so we had already considered ourselves mountain people low key because we just can’t seem to get enough and now I am so thrilled to have nature right outside my door 🤩🤩🤩
Stay tuned for the adventures to come 😎
Since making the leap from city living to our new mountain home, life has truly transformed! I wanted to share a bit more about what this journey has been like and why I'm so incredibly passionate about embracing the outdoors. It wasn't just a physical move; it was a shift in mindset, prioritizing fresh air, open spaces, and the calming rhythm of nature. One of the biggest joys has been discovering all the incredible hiking trails right in our backyard. Every weekend feels like a mini-adventure. Whether it's a challenging uphill climb that gets the heart pumping or a gentle stroll through redwood groves, there’s always something new to explore. We've already started a list of all the local parks and scenic overlooks we want to visit, especially here in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. It's amazing how much clearer your head feels after just an hour surrounded by trees. Beyond hiking, we're really looking forward to expanding our camping experiences. We used to manage 2-3 trips a year, which felt like a big deal then! Now, with nature so accessible, I can imagine popping out for spontaneous overnight trips, maybe even some stargazing adventures. We're investing in some lightweight gear to make those last-minute getaways easier. What are your favorite camping hacks or must-have items? I’d love to hear! The healthy lifestyle aspect has been a huge bonus too. Being constantly surrounded by opportunities to be active makes it so much easier to stay motivated. Instead of hitting a crowded gym, I can go for a run on a forest path or practice yoga with a mountain view. It’s not just about physical health; my mental well-being has soared. There’s a quiet peace that comes with being immersed in nature, a feeling of being truly present. It's like the world slows down, and you can really breathe. For anyone who feels that pull towards the outdoors, I truly encourage you to find ways to integrate nature into your daily life, no matter where you live. Start with a local park, plan a weekend hike, or even just spend more time in your garden. There’s something incredibly revitalizing about it. And for those dreaming of a bigger change, moving to a place like this has been a dream come true. You’ll definitely 'catch me outside' more often now, exploring every nook and cranny of this gorgeous landscape. It’s all about finding your happy place, and for me, that's definitely under the open sky and among the trees.
